Who is Eligible for the Electric Hot Water System Government Rebate

To qualify for the rebate, you must meet the following requirements:
  • You own and live in the property where the installation will take place.
  • Your household’s combined taxable income is under $210,000 per year.
  • The property value is below $3 million.
  • The property has not previously received a hot water or solar battery rebate under the Solar Homes Program.
  • The hot water system being replaced is at least three years old.
  • If you’ve claimed a Solar Homes rebate before and moved to a new property, you may apply again as long as the new property has not previously received an Electric Hot Water System Rebate.
